Nova Akropola
Cherry Red

One of the darkest, most frightening album of this band's Slovene-sung era (1986).
Most of the tracks sound like demonic rituals or exorcisms (depending on your perspective), albiet with a strident, martial beat or hunter's horns. Krvava Gruda - Plodna Zemlja (Bloody Ground - Fertile Soil) is especially frightening when one considers what transpired in the Balkans less than a decade later. Vojna Poema (War Poem) sounds like a folk song from another time, but somehow gone horribly wrong. Many of these songs end up in different forms or versions on later Laibach albums around this era, where their discography can be somewhat baffling.
Highly recommended.

Thanks for sharing this, but for some reason, Ti, Ki Izzivas is missing and has been replaced by the live version of Nova Akropola (which is cut off at the end) . . . ?

I think you're right, Roy.
Sorry 'bout that!
I can only attribute the mistake to the fact that I received this as a torrent, a year or two ago. That and I always thought it was one of the changes that occurred when it was reissued on CD. It appears to be the version of Nova Akropola from the Dvorana M.B. 21 album. Frankly I find it really hard to distinguish all the versions of Ti Ki Izzivas from Vade Retro Satanas, et. al. during that era.
In all versions of NA that are listed at Discogs, it appears that Ti Ki Izzivas is a fragment (labeled outro). It also appears in total on Rekapitulacija.
I can upload it if you'd like.

Here's the vinyl edition of Slovenska Akropola, for no real reason:

It appears to be cut off, but you should be able to select it all and copy it, paste it in browser, etc.
